BeatMapr

BeatMapr is a web + desktop app that helps writers diagnose and repair story structure using a beat-based “X-ray” of their manuscript. You paste chapters or scenes, then tag key moments (inciting incident, first pinch, midpoint, etc.) or let the AI propose tags with confidence scores. The app visualizes pacing, viewpoint distribution, unresolved setups, and missing reversals on a timeline, then generates a prioritized “fix list” (e.g., move reveal earlier, add consequence beat, compress slow stretch). It’s not a replacement for craft knowledge: it’s a structured checklist and analytics layer that makes revision less vague. Export options include a beat outline, revision plan, and scene cards you can bring into Scrivener/Word. The goal is pragmatic: help writers finish and revise faster, not “write the book for them.”
