BenchBOM

BenchBOM is a web + mobile app that helps hardware builders turn the chaos of prototyping into a trackable bill of materials (BOM) and build log. You snap photos of parts, receipts, and scribbled notes; the app extracts part names, quantities, vendors, costs, and links them to a specific prototype revision. It flags missing fields, duplicates, and “mystery parts” that commonly derail builds. BenchBOM also generates a shareable BOM link for teammates, investors, or contract manufacturers, and can export to CSV for purchasing. This is not a full PLM system; it’s a lightweight bridge between bench-level reality and the structured data you need to reorder parts, reproduce a build, or hand off to manufacturing. The goal is fewer rebuilds, fewer forgotten parts, and faster iteration with minimal overhead.
