BenchBrief is a mobile + web AI app for youth and amateur hockey teams that turns messy game video into usable coaching material. You upload a full-game recording (phone-on-tripod or rink feed), and it automatically detects whistles, shifts, goals, penalties, and key events, then produces a shareable highlight reel plus a simple “coach report” with timestamps and teaching points. The reality: most coaches don’t have time to scrub through 60–90 minutes of video, and most existing tools feel built for elite programs with staff and budgets. BenchBrief focuses on “good enough” automation with clear manual correction tools so coaches can fix missed events in seconds. It also generates player-specific clip packs (e.g., all D-zone exits, all faceoffs) to share privately with players/parents. Monetization is subscription per team with optional pay-per-game processing.
