BenchMap

BenchMap is a web app (with optional mobile companion) that helps services businesses and internal IT/ops teams reduce “hidden bench” by forecasting capacity and matching people to upcoming work. It ingests project pipeline data (from CRM), active work (from PM tools), and time-off calendars to produce a realistic 2–12 week capacity view by role, skill, and location. The app flags over-allocation risk, underutilized teams, and hiring/contractor needs early—before managers start firefighting. It also supports lightweight scenario planning: what happens if a deal slips, a key engineer leaves, or a project scope expands? This is not a full PSA/ERP replacement; it’s a focused layer that sits on top of existing systems and gives operations leaders a single, credible source of truth for resource allocation decisions. Expect some setup work: data quality and adoption are the real battle.
