BenchQuote is a mobile + web app for jewelry makers and small studios to quote custom jobs fast and consistently. Users build a library of repeatable “job templates” (ring resize, prong retip, CAD + cast, stone setting, repairs) with time ranges, material markups, vendor costs, and risk buffers. The app generates a customer-ready estimate in minutes, including assumptions, turnaround time, and change-order rules. It also tracks actual time and costs per job so quotes get more accurate over time, and flags underpriced work. AI is used narrowly: it suggests line items, detects missing steps (e.g., rhodium plating after sizing), and converts messy customer messages/photos into structured requirements—without pretending it can appraise gemstones reliably. This is not a marketplace; it’s a quoting and profitability tool that respects how chaotic custom work gets at the bench.
