BenefitCheck

BenefitCheck is a mobile + web app that helps midlife adults (40–60) audit the three biggest silent money leaks: health insurance, life/disability coverage, and employer benefits elections. Users answer a structured questionnaire, upload plan PDFs, and connect payroll/benefits portals where possible. The app flags likely over-insurance, under-insurance, duplicate coverage, and missed employer matches (HSA/FSA, retirement, dependent care). It produces a plain-English action list: what to change at open enrollment, what to shop, what to cancel, and what to keep. It also tracks deadlines and creates a “benefits binder” for spouses/partners. This isn’t a magic savings app—many users won’t save huge amounts—but for the subset with messy coverage, it can prevent expensive mistakes and reduce anxiety during a high-stakes life stage.
