BhashyaBuddy

BhashyaBuddy is a web + mobile app that helps students of Hindu philosophy read primary texts with multiple classical commentaries side-by-side. Instead of generic summaries, it focuses on source fidelity: you pick a text (e.g., Bhagavad Gita, Brahma Sutras, principal Upanishads), then view verse/sutra, Sanskrit, transliteration, and 2–4 curated bhashyas with clean navigation and citations. An AI layer can explain differences between commentaries (e.g., Advaita vs Vishishtadvaita) and generate study prompts, but it always links back to the exact lines it used. Users can create “reading paths” (e.g., Prasthanatrayi basics), highlight, export notes, and build a personal glossary of key terms (atman, brahman, avidya) with references. Monetization is realistic: subscription for advanced comparisons, offline packs, and premium commentary libraries where licensing allows.
