BiasBouncer

BiasBouncer is a web app + Slack/Chrome add-on that flags common cognitive biases in written decisions before they go public. Users paste a draft (PRD, strategy memo, hiring feedback, incident postmortem, investor update) and the app highlights bias patterns like confirmation bias, survivorship bias, sunk cost fallacy, availability bias, and overconfidence. It then prompts for missing evidence, counterfactuals, base rates, and “what would change your mind” criteria, producing a short bias-check report you can attach to the doc. It’s an AI app, but it’s intentionally constrained: it doesn’t “decide” for you; it enforces a checklist and asks hard questions. Realistically, this won’t replace training or good leadership, but it can reduce avoidable mistakes in high-volume decision environments where people move fast and skip reflection.
