BiasBreak

BiasBreak is a mobile + web AI app that helps shoppers judge whether product ratings are trustworthy, not just high. It aggregates reviews from major sources (where permitted) and runs consistency checks: reviewer history patterns, language repetition, timing bursts, verified-purchase signals, and cross-site sentiment alignment. Instead of a single star score, it shows a “Trust Score,” highlights the most credible pros/cons, and flags suspicious clusters with plain-language explanations. Users can paste a product link or scan a barcode in-store to get an instant trust snapshot and a short, balanced summary. It also lets users set “deal-breaker” preferences (e.g., battery life, sizing, durability) and surfaces reviews that specifically address those points. Realistically, it won’t catch every fake review and will sometimes mislabel edge cases, but it will reduce obvious manipulation and save time.
