BiasBudget

BiasBudget is a mobile + web app that helps people catch predictable thinking errors in the moments they matter: purchases, hiring, investing, conflict, and planning. Instead of teaching mental models as a library, it runs a lightweight “decision check” workflow: define the decision, stakes, deadline, and alternatives, then answer a short set of prompts that surface common traps (sunk cost, confirmation bias, base-rate neglect, overconfidence). The app generates a one-page decision brief and a “bias budget” score showing where your reasoning is weakest. Over time it builds a personal pattern profile (e.g., you consistently underestimate timelines) and suggests a single corrective habit per week. It integrates with calendar and email to nudge before key events (big meetings, renewals, negotiations). It’s not therapy; it’s practical decision hygiene for everyday life and work.
