BiasBuster

BiasBuster is a web + mobile AI app that teaches practical data literacy by analyzing real charts, dashboards, and headlines users encounter at work or online. Users paste a link, upload an image, or screenshot a chart; the app flags common manipulation patterns (truncated axes, cherry-picked ranges, dual axes, missing denominators, misleading color scales, survivorship bias) and explains the issue in plain language. It then offers a quick “fix” view showing how the same data should be presented, plus a short micro-lesson and a 2-minute quiz to reinforce the concept. Teams can create shared libraries of “good vs bad” examples for onboarding and internal training. It’s not a full statistics course; it’s a daily habit tool that builds skepticism and better communication around data with minimal time investment.
