BiasMirror
BiasMirror is a mobile + web AI app that helps people reduce mental-health stigma by catching harmful phrasing and assumptions in everyday communication. Users paste a text, email, Slack message, or social post draft, and the app flags stigmatizing language (e.g., “crazy,” “psycho,” “addict,” “attention-seeking”) and explains why it lands poorly. It then offers rewrites tailored to the context: workplace, family, healthcare, school, or public posting. Unlike generic “tone checkers,” BiasMirror includes short, evidence-based micro-lessons and scenario drills that teach what to say instead when someone discloses anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, substance use disorder, or self-harm history. Teams can deploy it as a lightweight policy-aligned assistant with shared guidelines and anonymized trend reporting (no message storage by default). This is not therapy; it’s communication hygiene that reduces harm and improves inclusion.
