BidBeacon

BidBeacon is a web app (with optional mobile alerts) that monitors public procurement portals and flags high-risk tenders and awards in near real time. It ingests tender notices, bidder lists, award amounts, timelines, and vendor histories, then produces simple “why this looks off” explanations (e.g., single-bidder awards, repeated wins by the same vendor, suspiciously short bid windows, contract splitting, price outliers vs similar items). The product is designed for journalists, watchdog NGOs, and internal government auditors who don’t have time to scrape PDFs and reconcile messy datasets. It includes a searchable vendor and agency graph, alert rules, and exportable evidence packs (links, snapshots, and normalized tables) for reporting or audits. Brutal reality: data quality is often terrible, so the app focuses on probabilistic risk signals and transparency, not claiming to “prove corruption.”
