BIDBench
BIDBench is a web app (with optional mobile field capture) that helps urban designers and public works teams estimate real-world costs and timelines for streetscape elements—curb extensions, protected bike lanes, trees, lighting, benches, permeable paving—using recent bid tabs and unit prices. Users sketch a simple corridor scope (length, widths, quantities), pick a city/region, and get a cost range, schedule range, and key cost drivers (utility conflicts, traffic control, soil volumes). It also flags where estimates are weak due to sparse data and suggests what to measure on-site to reduce uncertainty. This is not a “magic AI planner”; it’s a pragmatic estimator that turns messy procurement data into early-stage budget reality checks so teams stop wasting weeks on concepts that will never be funded.
