BidGuard is a web app (with optional mobile companion) for small and mid-sized auction sellers who get burned by non-paying bidders, chargebacks, and shill bidding. It plugs into your marketplace workflow by scoring bidders and transactions in real time, then recommending actions: require deposit, restrict bidding, hold shipment, or request extra verification. Sellers get a simple risk dashboard, automated post-auction invoicing reminders, and evidence packs for disputes (message logs, payment timeline, shipping proof). It’s not a new marketplace—because competing with eBay is a fantasy. Instead, it’s a seller-side risk and operations layer that works across channels via browser extension + email parsing + integrations where available. The MVP focuses on reducing unpaid items and chargebacks, which directly impacts cash flow and seller stress.
