BidStress

BidStress is a web app (with optional Excel add-in) for energy project developers and EPCs to pressure-test project finance assumptions before submitting bids or going to lenders. Users upload a base model (or enter key inputs), then run standardized downside cases: capex overruns, schedule slip, PPA price haircut, curtailment, DSCR covenants, interest-rate spikes, tax credit monetization delays, and O&M cost creep. The app outputs lender-style summaries: DSCR/LLCR ranges, break-even PPA price, required equity injection under stress, and a “bankability checklist” that flags missing items (e.g., contingency too low, reserve accounts absent, unrealistic availability). It’s not a full financial model replacement; it’s a fast, repeatable risk lens that makes bids more financeable and reduces painful rework after term sheets come back with conditions. Exportable PDFs support investment committee and lender conversations.
