Bifurca
Bifurca is a web app (with optional desktop companion) for analysts who need to understand when complex systems flip from stable to chaotic. Users upload time-series data (CSV/Parquet) from operations, finance, climate sensors, or experiments, then run a guided workflow to detect regime shifts, early-warning signals (critical slowing down, rising autocorrelation/variance), and nonlinear dynamics (Lyapunov proxies, recurrence plots). The app produces a short “risk of transition” report with charts, confidence levels, and plain-language explanations suitable for stakeholders. It also includes a lightweight sandbox to simulate canonical systems (Lorenz, logistic map, predator-prey) and compare them to real data patterns. This is not a magic predictor: it flags instability and structural change, helping teams ask better questions and prioritize monitoring. Expect best results when users have frequent measurements and decent data hygiene; messy sparse data will limit accuracy.
