BillLeak is a web + mobile app that audits utility bills to catch costly errors and hidden rate-plan mismatches. Users upload PDFs or connect their utility account (where available). The app extracts usage, demand charges, riders, taxes, and time-of-use periods, then flags anomalies like sudden step-changes, estimated reads, duplicate fees, incorrect meter multipliers, or being on the wrong tariff for the load profile. It also simulates alternative plans and shows the realistic savings range, not best-case fantasies. For small businesses, it supports multi-location portfolios and produces a dispute packet: highlighted bill lines, a plain-English explanation, and the exact questions to ask the utility. It’s not an “optimize everything” platform; it’s a focused bill-forensics tool that pays for itself if it finds even one recurring error.
