BillShield is a mobile + web app that finds recurring charges, flags price hikes, and helps you cancel or downgrade subscriptions fast. It connects to your bank via a read-only aggregator, clusters merchants that disguise names, and highlights “silent renewals” and annual plans that are about to hit. The app then generates one-tap actions: cancellation links, prewritten support emails, and call scripts, plus a calendar hold and push reminders. It also tracks outcomes (canceled, paused, negotiated) so users can see real savings rather than vague “budget scores.” This is a combination traditional + AI app: AI is used for merchant normalization, subscription detection, and drafting cancellation messages, but the core value is workflow and follow-through. Realistically, the hardest part is not the model—it’s reliable detection, bank connectivity, and keeping cancellation flows up to date.
