BillSplitHQ is a mobile + web app that makes shared housing costs boring (in a good way). Users connect their bank account or upload statements, then the app detects recurring housing-related charges—rent, utilities, internet, trash, HOA, renter’s insurance—and assigns them to a household. It automatically calculates each roommate’s share (fixed, weighted by room size, or custom rules), tracks who paid what, and sends payment requests with due dates. It also handles “one-off” costs like repairs, deposits, and furniture with receipt capture and approval. The app keeps an auditable ledger so disputes end quickly: every charge has a source, category, and history. This is a combination traditional + AI app: AI is used to classify transactions, match merchants, and suggest splits, but the core value is reliable workflows, reminders, and settlement.
