BillSplitIQ

BillSplitIQ is a mobile + web app that makes shared utility costs feel fair, even when people have different schedules and habits. Users upload or forward their electricity/gas bill, connect a smart meter if available, and set household rules (equal split, occupancy-based, room-size weighting, or time-at-home estimates). The app generates a transparent breakdown, tracks who paid what, and automates reminders and settlement via payment links. It also includes a “dispute mode” that forces structured claims (e.g., “I was away 10 days”) with lightweight evidence like calendar imports or travel confirmations—no endless group chat arguments. This isn’t about saving the planet; it’s about reducing friction and late payments. Realistically, adoption hinges on one motivated payer in the household, so onboarding is designed for a single person to start and invite others later.
