BinauralQA

BinauralQA is a desktop app (with a lightweight web dashboard) that automatically tests spatial audio mixes and interactive scenes for common failure modes: front/back confusion, elevation collapse, phase issues, mono fold-down problems, inconsistent loudness across head rotations, and device-dependent HRTF artifacts. You import stems or a Unity/Unreal capture, define a few listener paths, and the app runs repeatable “virtual listener” sweeps while recording binaural renders. It outputs a clear pass/fail report with timecodes, audible examples, and actionable fixes (e.g., problematic frequency bands, over-wide decorrelation, clipping in ambisonics decode). It also maintains a regression suite so teams can compare builds and catch audio changes that break immersion. This is not a creative mixing tool; it’s quality assurance for spatial audio shipping in games, XR, and immersive video—where bugs are expensive and hard to diagnose late.
