BinSight helps cities, campuses, and property managers reduce recycling/compost contamination and improve diversion rates without expensive hardware rollouts. Staff or haulers snap quick photos of bin contents at pickup or during audits; the app classifies common contaminants, estimates contamination percentage, and generates location-level scorecards. It then recommends targeted fixes (signage templates, bin placement changes, tenant messaging) and tracks whether interventions actually work over time. The product is realistic because it fits existing workflows: periodic audits and hauler reporting. It’s not a “smart bin” fantasy—most value comes from lightweight sampling plus consistent reporting. Dashboards show trends by building, route, and material stream, and export-ready reports support municipal compliance, LEED/TRUE, and internal ESG reporting.
