BioBlitzKit

BioBlitzKit is a mobile + web app that helps small land managers and community groups run repeatable biodiversity surveys that are actually usable. It guides users through standardized transects, timed counts, and photo-vouchering, then produces a simple “site health” dashboard and exportable reports for grants, compliance, or internal tracking. The AI component suggests likely species from photos and flags low-confidence IDs for review, but it never pretends to be authoritative. The app focuses on consistency over perfection: same routes, same timing, same effort—so trends are meaningful even with non-experts. Offline mode supports remote areas; syncing later builds a shared dataset for a property or project. Expect some misidentifications and gaps—this tool reduces friction and improves data quality, but it won’t replace trained ecologists. The value is making monitoring feasible and defensible for organizations with limited budget.
