BioFence

BioFence is a mobile + web app for conservation teams to detect and respond to invasive species outbreaks that threaten endangered wildlife. Field staff log sightings with GPS, photos, and quick habitat notes; the system builds a live risk map and assigns response tasks (trap checks, removal sweeps, biosecurity signage, follow-up surveys). An AI model helps triage incoming reports by identifying likely invasive species from photos and flagging high-risk locations near critical habitat or breeding sites. The app also generates simple, audit-ready reports for funders and regulators, because most teams lose time stitching together spreadsheets. This is not a consumer “save the planet” app; it’s operational software for small teams with limited budgets, intermittent connectivity, and high accountability. Offline-first data capture and sync is a must.
