BioPatrol

BioPatrol is a mobile + web app for conservation teams to document habitat threats with defensible evidence. Field staff capture geotagged photos/video, standardized impact checklists (illegal clearing, drainage, road encroachment, grazing, pollution), and offline notes. The app automatically packages observations into a chain-of-custody report with timestamps, device metadata, map context, and a simple confidence score for what’s being observed. A web dashboard lets managers review submissions, de-duplicate reports, and export incident packets for regulators, landowners, or legal counsel. An AI layer helps classify likely threat types from images and suggests what additional shots or measurements are needed to make the report actionable, but users stay in control. This is not a “citizen science” toy; it’s a practical evidence workflow for small teams with limited time and high stakes.
