BioSignal
BioSignal is a web app (with optional desktop wrapper) that helps astrobiology students, researchers, and science communicators quickly assess “how biosignature-plausible” an exoplanet observation is. Users paste in published spectral features (or upload a table), star type, planet radius/mass, equilibrium temperature, and observation context (instrument, SNR). The app outputs a transparent biosignature plausibility score with citations, key confounders (abiotic oxygen, photochemistry, stellar activity), and a checklist of follow-up observations that would strengthen or weaken a life-claim. It’s not a discovery engine; it’s a structured decision-support and reporting tool that turns messy papers and spectra into consistent, explainable summaries. Realistically, the audience is niche, so pricing targets labs, universities, and serious enthusiasts rather than mass consumers.
