BiteTrace
BiteTrace is a mobile + web app that helps people and clinicians document suspected spider bites and decide what to do next. Users take guided photos over time, record symptoms (pain, swelling, necrosis, fever), location, and exposure context, then get a conservative triage recommendation (self-care vs urgent care vs ER) based on region-aware medical guidelines. The app generates a shareable “bite report” PDF for telehealth or in-person visits, including a timeline, measurements, and red-flag alerts. It also supports safe capture guidance (without handling spiders) and optional local species likelihood based on geography and season—clearly labeled as probabilistic, not definitive ID. This is not a miracle diagnosis tool; it’s a structured documentation and decision-support product that reduces uncertainty, improves clinician handoffs, and discourages dangerous home treatments.
