BiteWatch
BiteWatch is a mobile + web app for zoo teams to track feeding, appetite, and stool/urine observations with enough structure to be useful, without turning keepers into data-entry clerks. Keepers log meals in seconds (portion offered, consumed, refusals, notes, photo), and the system flags meaningful deviations per individual animal and diet plan. It supports species-specific templates (big cats, primates, reptiles, birds) and integrates basic diet schedules so you can see what should have happened versus what did. An optional AI layer summarizes daily rounds into a shift handoff note and highlights “watch list” animals based on trends, not one-off bad meals. This is not a replacement for veterinary judgment; it’s a practical early-warning and communication tool that reduces missed signals across shifts and departments.
