BizHeatmap

BizHeatmap is a web app (with optional mobile companion) that helps economic development teams and chambers stop guessing and start prioritizing. It pulls together messy, scattered signals—business registrations, job postings, commercial vacancies, foot-traffic proxies, and public procurement awards—into a simple “industry momentum” dashboard by neighborhood and corridor. Users can track which sectors are expanding, which are stagnating, and where small interventions (façade grants, permitting help, workforce partnerships) will likely move the needle. The product is not magic: data will be incomplete and sometimes lagging, so the app is designed to show confidence levels, data sources, and what’s missing. It also generates board-ready reports and maps for stakeholders who demand visuals. The goal is faster, defensible decisions and fewer politically driven pet projects.
