BlastBrief

BlastBrief is a web + mobile app that helps mines and quarries capture blast data in the field and automatically produce regulator- and client-ready blast reports. Supervisors enter key parameters (holes, burden/spacing, stemming, explosives, initiation sequence), attach photos, and record vibration/airblast readings from monitoring vendors. The system validates entries against site rules (e.g., max charge per delay, exclusion zones, weather constraints) and flags missing details before a shot is fired. After the blast, it generates a standardized PDF package: blast summary, compliance checklist, incident notes, and distribution list. It also keeps an auditable change history for investigations and insurance. This is not glamorous, but it targets a real paperwork bottleneck where mistakes are expensive and common. It’s designed for low-connectivity sites with offline capture and later sync.
