BlockBuddy
BlockBuddy is a mobile + web app for directors and stage managers to capture, share, and update stage blocking without drowning everyone in PDFs and messy notes. During rehearsal, you tap a simple stage map, assign positions to characters, and attach quick cues like “cross downstage left on line 42.” The cast gets a clean, role-specific view: only their moves, with timestamps, scene/beat labels, and change notifications. It supports multiple stage layouts (proscenium, thrust, black box) and exports to rehearsal reports. This is a traditional app with light AI: it can auto-parse a script to suggest scene/line anchors and generate a first-pass blocking checklist, but it won’t pretend to “direct” the show. The goal is reducing rehearsal confusion and preventing last-minute blocking mismatches when understudies or replacements step in.
