BlockReady
BlockReady is a mobile + web app (traditional + AI) that helps apartment buildings and city blocks create a realistic, shared disaster plan and keep it current. Instead of generic checklists, it builds a “who-has-what” resource map (generators, first-aid, tools, medical skills, language support), assigns roles, and generates a one-page offline-ready action card for each household. During an incident, it switches to a low-bandwidth mode: SMS-based check-ins, status board, and task dispatch (e.g., welfare checks for elderly residents). The AI component drafts plans, translates instructions, and flags gaps (e.g., no one with CPR training, no accessible evacuation route) using simple surveys and optional building data. It’s designed for the messy reality: low participation, outdated info, and limited attention. The app focuses on small geographic units where coordination is feasible and outcomes are measurable.
