BlockShield

BlockShield is a web + mobile AI-assisted time-blocking app that automatically protects deep-work blocks from meeting creep and reactive scheduling. It connects to Google Calendar and Outlook, lets users define “protected zones” (e.g., 9–11am focus, no meetings), and enforces rules with smart buffers, auto-decline templates, and suggested alternative slots. The core value is not another pretty calendar—it’s reducing calendar negotiation and decision fatigue. Users can set weekly goals (projects, habits), and BlockShield proposes a realistic block plan based on existing commitments, energy preferences, and deadlines. It also flags “calendar debt” (overcommitted weeks) and recommends what to move or shorten. The app stays lightweight: it doesn’t try to be a full task manager, but integrates with Todoist/Linear/Jira to pull priorities and translate them into blocks.
