BloomWatch
BloomWatch is a mobile + web app for gardeners, land managers, and small conservation groups to measure whether their plantings actually support pollinators. Users log a site, add a simple plant list, and run timed “pollinator counts” using guided protocols (e.g., 5-minute flower watch). The app uses AI-assisted photo ID to suggest pollinator groups (bee, hoverfly, butterfly) and flags low-confidence IDs to avoid junk data. It then generates a plain-English “Pollinator Support Score,” seasonal recommendations (what to plant next, what to stop doing), and a shareable report for grants, HOAs, or clients. Reality check: it won’t replace experts or solve biodiversity alone, but it can make monitoring cheap, repeatable, and credible enough for everyday projects. Monetization is a freemium app with paid reporting, team features, and exportable datasets.
