BoltRecall

BoltRecall is a mobile + web app that tracks safety recalls and critical service bulletins for bikes, e-bikes, child seats, helmets, racks, and key components (forks, brakes, batteries). Users scan a barcode/QR, enter a serial number, or import purchase receipts from email to build a gear inventory. The app continuously monitors official sources (CPSC, manufacturer recall pages, major retailer notices) and sends high-signal alerts only when a match is likely, including clear “stop riding” guidance, affected serial ranges, and next steps (refund, replacement, inspection). It also stores proof-of-purchase, warranty dates, and service history so users can act fast. This isn’t a social fitness app; it’s a safety and compliance tracker designed to reduce the chance of riding recalled equipment and to make recall resolution less painful.
