BoundaryNook
BoundaryNook is a mobile app (with a lightweight web companion) that helps people create a “safe space” in real life by preparing what to say and what to do before stressful interactions. Users pick a situation (roommate conflict, breakup talk, family pressure, workplace boundary), then build a short plan: a boundary statement, a fallback phrase, and an exit plan. The app includes a discreet “practice mode” that lets you rehearse aloud and get pacing/clarity feedback, plus a one-tap “send later” message draft for when you’re too overwhelmed to type. It’s not therapy and it won’t magically fix unsafe environments; it’s a practical tool for people who freeze, fawn, or over-explain. The focus is on small, repeatable scripts and routines that reduce emotional load and make leaving or de-escalating easier.
