BoundaryPing

BoundaryPing is a mobile app (with optional smartwatch companion) that helps couples, roommates, and close friends define and respect personal-space boundaries in shared environments. Users create simple “space agreements” like: knock before entering, headphones mean do-not-disturb, no hugs at work, or 10-minute decompress time after arriving home. The app uses lightweight check-ins and geofenced contexts (home, office, gym) to surface the right reminder at the right moment, without turning into surveillance. It includes a quick “I need space” button that sends a pre-agreed message, plus a weekly boundary review that highlights friction points and suggests clearer wording. It’s not therapy; it’s a practical boundary protocol tool. Privacy is central: no continuous location sharing, no audio recording, and all rules are opt-in and editable anytime.
