BoxProof is a mobile + web app that helps shoppers avoid disappointing beauty subscription boxes by verifying what’s actually inside and whether it matches their preferences. Users scan or search a box, then see a “Proof Score” based on real unboxing evidence, shade/skin-type compatibility, ingredient red flags, and value vs. retail. The app aggregates structured data from public unboxings (YouTube/TikTok/blogs), retailer listings, and user-submitted photos/receipts, then normalizes it into comparable metrics across brands. It also tracks your personal “product backlog” so you don’t keep receiving duplicates (another mascara you’ll never finish). The AI component summarizes box contents, flags likely mismatches (e.g., fragrance sensitivity, acne triggers), and predicts how much of the box you’ll realistically use. Monetization is subscriptions for advanced filters + affiliate revenue, but it must stay transparent to keep trust.
