BoxSnap
BoxSnap is a mobile + web app that turns a messy storage unit into a searchable inventory. Users take quick photos of boxes and items as they pack or visit the unit; the app auto-extracts labels, suggests categories, and lets you add simple tags like “winter clothes” or “kitchen.” When you need something, you search in plain English (“passport,” “camping stove”) and see the most likely box plus the last-seen photo and unit location notes (e.g., “back left, stacked under blue tote”). It also tracks what went in/out over time and can generate a shareable list for movers, family, or insurance claims. This is not a magic robot that recognizes every object perfectly; it’s a practical, fast workflow that beats spreadsheets and forgotten notes, and it works even if you only partially catalog your stuff.
