BrakeBuddy is a mobile app (with a lightweight web dashboard) that helps DIYers and small shops document brake and suspension condition with repeatable, photo-guided inspections. The app walks users through a standardized checklist (pads, rotors, calipers, brake lines, shocks/struts, bushings, ball joints) and prompts for specific angles and measurements (e.g., pad thickness with a cheap gauge). It then generates a clean, shareable report with timestamps, mileage, and “watch/replace now” flags based on conservative thresholds you can customize. It also tracks service history, parts used, torque specs, and bedding procedures, and can remind users to re-check after a set mileage. This is not magic: it won’t diagnose everything, but it will reduce missed steps, improve documentation, and make it easier to decide what to fix next and prove what was done.
