BreachBrief is a web app (with optional Slack/Teams integration) that helps healthcare security and compliance teams convert messy security signals into structured, HIPAA-ready incident documentation. It ingests alerts and evidence from common sources (SIEM, EDR, email security, ticketing) and guides users through a standardized incident workflow: what happened, systems involved, PHI exposure likelihood, containment steps, and notification thresholds. An AI assistant drafts timelines, summarizes logs, and proposes next actions, but the user must approve every claim and attach supporting artifacts. The output is a consistent incident packet: executive summary, technical narrative, risk assessment, and an audit-friendly evidence bundle. This is not a replacement for your SOC; it’s a documentation and decision-support layer that reduces delays, missed details, and inconsistent reporting across facilities and vendors.
