BreakBuddy

BreakBuddy is a mobile + web app that helps parents of high-needs kids (autism, ADHD, medical complexity) find short, reliable respite coverage without endless calls and paperwork. It combines a marketplace of vetted respite workers with availability-based matching, simple shift booking, and a “care profile” that captures routines, triggers, meds, and emergency steps. The app focuses on trust and logistics: background checks, credential uploads (CNA/RBT/CPR), references, and post-shift incident notes. Parents can build a small “trusted circle” of repeat caregivers and share access with co-parents or grandparents. This is not magic: supply is the bottleneck, so the product is designed to work with small pools, agencies, and nonprofits rather than pretending there are unlimited caregivers. Monetization is a booking fee + optional subscription for priority matching and care-plan templates.
