BridgeBrief
BridgeBrief is a web app (with optional desktop companion) that helps interdisciplinary teams quickly understand each other’s literature without pretending to “solve research.” Users upload PDFs or paste DOIs, then generate a structured brief tailored to a different discipline (e.g., “Explain this neuroscience paper for an HCI researcher”). The app highlights assumptions, methods, key variables, and what would need to change to replicate the work in another field. It also builds a shared glossary where terms are mapped across domains (e.g., “model,” “validation,” “significance”) and flags likely miscommunications. Reality check: it won’t replace reading papers, and it will occasionally hallucinate—so every claim is linked back to the exact source passage with citations. The value is speed: faster onboarding, fewer meetings spent translating jargon, and fewer costly misunderstandings in collaborative proposals.
