Briefline
Briefline is a web app (with a lightweight mobile companion) for newsrooms and independent journalists to publish “micro-briefs” that stay tethered to the underlying reporting. Writers paste a draft or article URL, and the app generates a short brief plus a structured “evidence panel” that links key claims to exact source passages, documents, or transcripts. Editors can approve briefs, require citations for sensitive claims, and export to social formats (X, Instagram captions, newsletter snippets) while keeping a consistent attribution trail. Readers see a clean brief first, then can expand to view sources, methodology notes, and updates/corrections in a single timeline. This is not a magic truth machine: it’s a workflow tool that makes it harder to publish uncited summaries and easier to maintain corrections without rewriting everything. Monetization is per-seat for publishers and a creator tier for freelancers.
