BRTHeadway

BRTHeadway is a web + mobile operations app for Bus Rapid Transit agencies focused on one ugly, expensive problem: bus bunching and unreliable headways. It ingests real-time vehicle positions (GTFS-RT or AVL), compares actual spacing against scheduled headways, and flags emerging bunching before riders feel it. Dispatchers get simple, actionable interventions: hold-at-station suggestions, short-turn recommendations, and stop-skipping options with estimated rider impact. Supervisors can see corridor heatmaps, chronic trouble segments, and operator adherence trends. The goal isn’t fancy prediction—it’s fast, defensible decisions that reduce delays and complaints without adding buses. This is an AI-assisted app (rules + lightweight ML) but stays grounded in explainable recommendations so agencies can trust it and unions can audit it.
