BRTProof
BRTProof is a mobile + web app that automatically documents Bus Rapid Transit reliability and turns it into usable evidence for riders and advocacy groups. Riders opt in and the app passively logs trip start/stop, station dwell time, missed signal priority, and “bus bunching” patterns using on-device sensors plus GTFS-Realtime. It generates a clean, shareable incident report (route, timestamp, wait time, crowding proxy, and map trace) that can be submitted to transit agencies, ombuds offices, or refund/credit programs where they exist. For agencies, it offers a paid dashboard that aggregates anonymized rider evidence into heatmaps and SLA-style metrics without requiring new hardware on buses. This is not magic: it won’t fix service overnight, but it makes poor performance harder to deny and cheaper to diagnose, especially in corridors where official AVL data is incomplete or politically massaged.
