BrunchScout

BrunchScout is a mobile + web app that shows realistic, near-real-time brunch wait times and seating odds for nearby restaurants. Instead of relying on outdated Google “busy” graphs or calling five places, users see a confidence-scored estimate based on lightweight signals: opt-in check-ins, anonymized location pings (if permitted), and restaurant-side quick updates (“walk-in wait: 35 min”, “bar seats available”). The app also suggests the best arrival window and alternative spots with similar menus and vibes when waits spike. For restaurants, it’s a simple web dashboard to update wait ranges in seconds and push promos for slow periods. This is not magic: coverage will start in a few neighborhoods/cities and expand only where data density is high. The goal is to save weekend time, reduce frustration, and help restaurants smooth demand without expensive reservation systems.
