BudgetLanes

BudgetLanes is a mobile + web app that lets users run several budgeting methods in parallel—envelope, zero-based, and 50/30/20—without duplicating work. You connect accounts, then assign each transaction to a “lane” (method) with simple rules. The app shows which method keeps you cash-positive, which one you actually follow, and where each method breaks (e.g., irregular income, variable bills). It includes a lightweight “budget experiment” mode: set a 30-day trial, lock categories, and track adherence and stress level with quick check-ins. This is a combination traditional + AI app: AI suggests category rules, detects subscription creep, and flags when a method is mismatched to your cashflow pattern. The goal is not to be another generic tracker; it’s a decision tool for choosing a budgeting method that fits reality.
