BudgetPulse

BudgetPulse is a web app (with optional mobile companion) that translates proposed fiscal policy—tax changes, spending bills, and budget amendments—into plain-language, scenario-based impacts. Users pick a jurisdiction (country/state/city), then explore “what if” sliders: income brackets, VAT/sales tax, payroll taxes, corporate rates, deficit targets, and spending allocations. The app outputs a clean dashboard: distributional effects by income decile, expected deficit/debt path, and sensitivity ranges based on transparent assumptions. It’s a combination traditional + AI app: traditional models and data pipelines power the calculations, while AI summarizes bills, flags hidden fiscal gimmicks, and generates short briefings with citations. The product is built for trust: every chart links back to data sources, model equations, and assumption toggles. It’s not a magic oracle—just a faster, clearer way to understand fiscal tradeoffs.
